Link Object Support
Link object's can be translated between the supported CSI products, SAP and ETABS! This means that any links created in SAP will be translated with the rest of the model elements to ETABS, and vice versa.
Link objects are used in analysis platforms to connect two independent joints, such that specialized behavior may be modeled between them. For example, Facade connection points might be linked to simulate being connected to a rigid structure where there is a gap, or zero length links can be used to model seismic behavior between a structures foundation and the ground.
